Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at University of California Davis. It is believed that she was the one responsible as the pioneer of modern studies of memory recall by eyewitnesses, and the role of children in witnessing. Professor Goodman, who has a wide range of research publications as well as numerous grants and is the recipient of a variety of international and national prizes. She has advised many government agencies and governments around all over the world on policy and research relating to child victims in the justice system. She also serves as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center), of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She's a member of numerous professional organizations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the head of the America Psychological Association's divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family policy and practice.
